Guidance and special treatment is not given only to children who lack intelligence or who have mental retardation, but also for children who have intelligence above average or often called smart kids.

Actually understanding intelligent child, is very diverse, because intelligence can include various aspects, such as intellectual, emotional, spiritual, kinesthetic, musical, interpersonal, academic, and so on.

Children have a different intelligence, it is our duty as parents to understand the potential for personal or precise intelligence to then help the intelligence they have them.

In an effort to help actualize the intelligence of children have, here are some tips for parents to guide their children are smart.

1. Observe and understand what advantages and disadvantages of children. Children are smart does not mean he had mastered all areas. As a child, he also still has shortcomings. Provide a realistic demands and according to his ability or potential. Forcing children to master something that is not in accordance with the potential to have or who are not interested, will only make the child depressed. As a result the child will be lazy to learn, not like that field or even uninterested in school.

2. There are good parents together experts to find out clearly what the potential possessed child and discuss what programs should be given to children, what a good school for children and at which level the lessons should be given to children. Make plans for the education of children according to their potential.

3. Provide activities appropriate to children’s interests. Provide facilities or the environment that allows children to develop their potential. For example if the kid liked to dance, enter the children into the dance studio, if the child likes math, put children into mathematics courses, and so on.

4. Frequently take children dialogue. Give children an opportunity to express opinions or desires. Give your child the freedom to think different than we think, since a child usually have bright wide interest and has many topics of conversation to convey.
