Merlin Olsen member of both Pro Football and College Football Halls of Fame has dead on Thursday morning.  Merlin Olsen cause of death suspected of having mesothelioma, he died at the age of 69, but until up now, Olsen funeral has been not yet announced.

According to the Cache Valley Daily, Mesothelioma disease he had suffered since 2009, and had since been undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Mesothelioma is one of the types of cancer, and this disease is very dangerous for the sufferer.

During his life, Merlin Olsen had a brilliant career in the NFL’s, and he is one of the legendary football. Olsen has named to the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, along with legendary defensive tackle “Mean” Joe Greene and Bob Lilly.

After the end of his career in football, Olsen began work on television as a color commentator for NBC’s NFL coverage.
